It makes me so angry to see that these callous changes by this Government has left them so desperate to feed their children that they are doing this so their children dont starve.
Hope Cameron and co are bloody proud of themselves.

i dont know if i believe all these facts, but if there is a incease in postitution due to benefit cuts,it's a very sad state we live in,vety sad

I imagine that most of those women also have drug habits to feed

SilverStreak7 · 09/09/2013 14:34

You imagine most of these women have drug habits to feed ? Never heard of sanctions for the most ridiculous "crimes" against DWP then ? Some people ,, ,

Nancy66 · 10/09/2013 12:49

Yes, but the facts are that 95% of prostitutes have drug addiction issues. I would be staggered if these women were somehow different.

Nancy, you can be sure that many of the women who form a large part of this increase in prostitution because they don't have enough money for food will soon get involved in drugs, too.

There was recently someone on mn whose benefits were sanctioned - by her own admission, she was completely disorganised, ignored a formal request for interview etc., etc.

Things are never black and white. Benefits cover food - the root of the problem will lie in chaos, not lack of cash.

I should probably quantify my remarks. I used to work very closely with prostitutes, each and every one of them was working due to drug dependency issues or under duress from their partner.

Benefits didn't even come in to play.

I cant believe that in 2013 the only choices a woman has for money are prostitution or living on benefits
