Though F4J have said it was not an official protest they have confirmed he is a member.

Tiresome. They really don't do themselves any favours, do they? Wasn't the prime mover exposed as living with a woman whose ex doesn't have any contact with their children?

I do believe this despicable act was in response to the lack of media coverage/attention F4J did get or didn;t get while in the Parliament with George Gallaway. No one care about it but F4J members.
F4J widely announced the magnificent meeting in Parliament but guess what? noT a single minute of air time was given therefore the Queens portarit needed to be damaged in order to get the media attention (attention for the wrong reasons but attention at last
The need to be noticed makes this group do the most silly things/ stunts and no one take them seriously. After destroying the portrait the media has given lots of coverage and F4J aapears everywhere (for the wrong reason again)
These men are fighting to get equal rights but some of them have been terrible fathers who didn't put their children first but now are claiming justice, well I hope justice is served and Mr Portrait Painter aka TH gets a big fine and some days in prison... that might make him think straight

mumwinner i spotted something in my Twitter timeline about the Galloway meeting. It didnt exactly set the social networking world alight either.

mumwinner, I'm afraid journalists know FFJ aren't to be taken seriously - unfortunately the threats to kidnap Leo Blair rather put paid to that. And climbing on Harriet Harman's roof. Plus when they looked into some of the FFJ members, they have found people who do not have access to their kids for jolly good reasons, such as violence. It really isn't as simple as men who are unjustly denied access to their kids making legitimate complaints.

There may well be some FFJ members who have been treated unfairly, but there are also plenty who have discredited the whole organisation. That's why they get no coverage - too risky.

He looked like a smug faced twat on the news clip.

look here - the founder admits: 'I've put my hands up in the past. I was a shit husband, I lived life to bacchanalian excess, and paid the price. I felt very bad about it. More than anything, I'm just pleased that my kids are OK. They seem to have emerged amazingly, and that is in no small part down to their mum - it's a tribute to her.'

And refuses to answer the question about restraining orders... tells you everything you need to know.

Thank Edam, I read it. It is very interesting.
It makes me feel very uneasy about the things the founder said. My ex had a court order to see his children but failed to take contact because the judge gave him from Fri to Monday every fortnight plus Wed on the week he didn't have them over night. My ex never exercised his right to contact them as he wanted 50/50 only guess why? to avoid paying child maintenance as his salary is around a million pounds a year including bonuses, in the end I applied to go back to my country and I was granted the leave to remove.
He blames the system and attacks judges but the bottom line is he doesn't see his boys, doesn't pay for them, but we are happy, I got a very well paid job in my home country and marry my childhood sweet heart. Life is good..
