Poor Katie Holmes

... what mother wasn't weepy in the first few weeks after their babies birth? Better woman than I if they didn't cry, I remember crying my eyes out because I wrote something against the wrong line in my DD's baby record book (one week after birth probably not the best time to do it!)

According to \link{http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,2-2006220546,00.html\The Sun} Katie is suffering from the baby blues. I read the article and felt sorry for her, she's whizzing around after Tom and "The Mission Impossible actor has put her on a fitness regime to get her in shape for their wedding this summer"

I'd have killed my DH if he was doing that a month after DD was born!

not sure I buy this poor Katie thing really - she has been in the public eye herself for ages, surely she knows a thing or two by now. If we all know what a loon TC is, how come she didn't?

Apparently modern women aren't cows. Or something. Well, Hubbard was apparently very anti-bf, from my (meagre) readings, it seems modern scientology is ok with bf (not really pro, though), but if non-bf, then babies should be given Hubbard's formula, which is made with barley water.

Yes, I feel for Katie Holmes, but FFS she is a grown woman, she must have been aware of his reputation before she made the decision to go down the romance route with the poison dwarf. God only knows what is going through her head atm, but at least she is fortunate enough to have the financial independence to free herself and Suri from him if she chooses to.

He's only been visibly a complete freak since he sacked Pat Kingsley. I suspect most Hollywood bods are complete freaks, but just have better PR.

(Who wouldn't be a complete freak, working in such a strange industry, surrounded by syncophants and adoring fans?)

I read that her dad was quoted as saying that what she needed was rest and recuperation and that he did not agree with her having to exercise and diet so soon. It must be so hard to see your daughter in such a situation and not be able to do much about it. I felt very irritated that Cruise seemed to drag her along to the red carpet for his new film- she had such a fixed grin.

Being the cynic I am...

...this story is likely to have been put out by the Tom 'n' Katie media machine to take some of the heat off him for slagging Brooke Shield's approach to dealing with PND.

I predict in a day or so's time, Tom'll come out with a statement about how he's being supportive/understanding blah blah blah.

It's all about scoring PR points.

Unfortunately for Katie!
