No you didn't - I probably will I am officially a thread killer !!

niceglasses · 05/05/2006 18:02

Erm I didn't think it was generally routine to sack pple having affairs. Its not a sackable offence in my book...think of the French attitude etc.

donnie · 05/05/2006 20:22

I thought it was a sackable offence in a lot of organisations, perhaps I am wrong about this! Prezza is clearly a complete toad and tosser though for having an affair with someone who works under ( exceuse pun!) him. I feel sorry for his wife. Seems like the womean, Tracy whatever, had it well sussed from the off, keeping those diaries. She knew all along she'd sell him dowm the Swanny! she's what I'd call a Judas, but then it's no more than he deserves I suppose - as bad as eachotherIMO.

hoxtonchick · 05/05/2006 20:28

do we think ruth kelly has been demoted from education to local govt? i say yes, dp says she's got prescott's old job without the title. what do you all think?

niceglasses · 05/05/2006 20:29

...think its a bit bad though him keeping all the salary and doing half the job it would seem.

UCM · 05/05/2006 21:53

Just a thought but if I ran a business that was under fire - say, a double glazing company, I wouldn't have a reshuffle and make the receptionist in the shop & the window fitter swap places because IT wouldn't work. Why do they "Reshuffle".

If the window fitter made a huge mistake I would place him under probation for 6 months. If he did it again I would sack him.

This type of thing frightens the life out of me in our government.

JoolsToo · 05/05/2006 21:56

how many jobs has John Reid had in a couple of years ( or so it seems) Health, Defence and now Home Sec - its ridiculous

John Prescott should have been sacked - his wife can't trust him - how the hell is the country supposed to? God he gets my goat - had the cheek to call the firefighters 'immoral' for striking and look at him - now he's got a job with no responsibilities and all the perks. Angry The man is an arse. (in my opinion)

Grrrr.

Grin and breathe.......

Tortington · 05/05/2006 22:34

i like two shags.Grin

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 05/05/2006 22:35

Just the one does me fine custy Wink

OldieMum · 05/05/2006 22:45

Uwila, I bought the 'it's a private matter' argument, until I saw this article in the Guardian. I don't usually agree with Catherine Bennett, but I think she got this one right. \link{http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/story/0,,1767251,00.html\here}

Uwila · 06/05/2006 08:07

Yes, Oldiemum, I think she says it all in the first couple of paragraphs.

SecondhandRose · 06/05/2006 08:12

So Prescott has kept his job so in theory as DPM if the PM pops his clogs tonight he'll be PM in the morning? Big time liar and abused his power and position (missionary?)

They all make me puke to be honest, he should have reshuffled before the local elections to avoid the pasting at the polls.

JoolsToo · 09/05/2006 11:18

looks like Prezza may yet face an \link{http://www.theherald.co.uk/politics/61541.html\investigation}

double standards again!

don't do as I do, do as I say
