Gloria Foster - did the poor woman not have any family?

Was thinking about poor Gloria Foster who died after no one came to help her for 9 days.

I know that she was supposed to be having help come 4 times a day from an agency - but did she not have any relatives at all?

It is beyond awful that someone so dependent on external help should be basically left to starve to death - but the real tragedy for me, is that she had no family or friends that even just phoned her to see if she was ok for all that time.

It said she had no children. Perhaps her other relatives were older and had died. She had a friend and guardian but sadly she didn't seem to check on her often but it was she who raised the alarm on day 9. Poor poor woman.
