Lots of people who posted this on twitter this morning have been apologising and saying it's been exposed as a fake.

wannabedomesticgoddess · 19/12/2012 11:52

Its fake. The child doesnt fall immediately after the eagle lets go.

flatpackhamster · 19/12/2012 11:52

slartybartfast

no fake as in a trained bird

You think there are a lot of tame golden eagles trained to take toddlers from parks?

cornycarrotshack · 19/12/2012 11:52

I would have said fake as well. Birds aren't that stupid.

AlienRefucksLooksLikeSnow · 19/12/2012 12:00

Awwwwww, is it a fake? Doesn't surprise me.

slartybartfast · 19/12/2012 12:02

the toddler probably had a chunk of meat on its head,
how else do they train eagles?

Saltycopporn · 19/12/2012 13:39

Fake! I'm wondering how many of you would run to help without throwing down the camera first? If it were genuine I think the camera would have ended up on the grass pointing at the sky. The bird seemed to be flying in a style suited to display rather than hunting. It would never catch genuine prey like that.

Piffpaffpoff · 19/12/2012 14:04

I think it's not a real toddler, the real one is in the buggy, and the swap is made while the camera is pointing at the ground. I also think I need to get out more

JustFabulous · 19/12/2012 14:08

Not real.

CGI affects.

" However, the lifelike sequence was today claimed to be an elaborate CGI hoax."

Narked · 19/12/2012 14:10

FAKE

MrsTerrysChocolateOrange · 20/12/2012 03:32

I live in Canada and it is not news here. It's a fake.

MrsMushroom · 20/12/2012 03:46

I can see it's a dummy.....but the 2nd time the snatching is shown....RIGHT before the talons touch the toddler..he seems to duck slightly...or is it my imagination?

NilentSight · 20/12/2012 18:23

It's a hoax
