Not even sure what sort of sentence could properly reflect the nature of what those men have done.

For me, whenever these animals are allowed out again, as they will be, part of the price of being allowed to walk amongst us should be chemical castration.
The loss of their sex drive should be the price of being allowed to mix with ordinary families etc. A visit to a clinic once a month or whatever it takes to take away that urge which they plainly cannot control should be a small price for their liberty.
It has been proven time and again that these people hardly ever change and are past masters at manipulating people, both children and adults, to get the access to minors that they crave. They cannot be trusted to have changed their ways
Rapists of women and men we are a different matter. We are constantly being told that rape is about power and not sex.
In the case of men in this article and other child molesters it is the other way around ie not about power but about feeding a perverted sex drive.
This should go for all of them, including the animals involved in sex gangs in Rochdale and around the rest of the country.
Chemical castration or back inside, should be a no brainer for them.

Children, I seem to recall there are problems with chemical castration inc. a. how would you monitor it? How would you know if they stopped taking the drugs? b. it does nothing to take away the power issues. Rape/abuse isn't necessarily motivated by sex, it can be about power and the desire to dominate/control another person. There are probably other issues too.

There are long term stuidies done in countries that use chemical castration and a % of offenders go on to kill.

Some offenders still sexually assault and some get into S&M.

Look, I think this is getting out of hand and feel passionately enough to go out on the street to demonstrate how I feel. If anyone can forward any information on the these child abuse threads with info who to write and complain about these horrendously lenient sentences that continue to be passed down to paedophiles, please do advise. Also any hint of marches, demonstrations etc please do post.
I'm getting to the point where I don't want to read unless I can do something proactive to help.

Child abuse can often be about power too. Assuming that chemical castration would end child abuse is just not correct.

You can't have sex with a child. Paedophiles sexually assault children.
Horrible.

But why are they are given such a small jail sentence ?? Why ? If they were in America for example, they'll spend their lives in jail...when they get out in 10 years time, they'll do it again..the British system is shit

How long of a jail sentence would be appropriate? Even if it was 30/40 years they could still re-offend when released.
It is also unrealistic to keep them locked away for life.

There is also always the danger that if people think it can be solved by chemical castration then the perpetrators will unintentionally become victims by claiming they can't help it it's all down to their testosterone levels, absolving them of responsibility.

It also doesn't take into account those who are motivated by power and control and not, sex.

In this case apparently it was a Pedophile ring, so they would find, groom and abuse children then either share pictures/videos with each others or lure the children say to a 'party' and share them with other group members. There was also a childminder involved.

The sentences are a joke. Either society takes this seriously or it doesn't.

The sentences are a joke but then so is our entire judiciary, how many of these judges actually have empathy towards these depraved bastards rather than with the child victims. I bet anything you like if you could unpick the brains of some of these judges you'd find that many have more in common with the men they send down than the public they should be working to protect.

What sort of sentence would reflect the damage these men have done to their victims? No length of sentence will "cure" them, they will always be a threat to children. Best thing is to use the bastards for medical experiments, why should the tax payer put food in their bellies?
