There have been 2 big earthquakes in Italy ( epicentre near Bologna). In the first 3 were killed and 2/3 villages evacuated and people have been living in tents, unitl their houses were deemed safe to return.
Another hit yesterday morning and more buildings collapsed estimated total now15 dead. Those without a place to live are in tents, others are sleeping rough. The ground continues to shake ( over 50 tremors last night)and although I live over 2 hrs away I have every sympathy as they have been felt over many areas of the country and it is very frightening. It is as if the ground becomes a wave.
Ok so Italy is a European country but the world press don't seem over bothered, it might be on a small scale but people need help, many will have to rebuild their lives from scratch if you can help please do.......

Thanks for the links Rosa. Another Brit in Italy here and just want to reiterate what Rosa has said. It is a frightening and very sad situation here and unfortunately with the economical situation here being what it is I don't have huge amounts of faith in the Government getting these poor people re-housed sooner rather than later....
