Why on earth did the US try to suppress them? They should have known they would come out eventually and the whole situation would come back to bite them.

Its horrific, but whats worse is that no-one above the level of Sgt has been prosecuted, where are the officers in charge? Hopefully hte one good thing to come out of the re-emergence of this story will be some justice for the victims and not just the scapegoats of Lindy England and her boyfreind.

This kind of actons could not take place on a base without officers and senior NCO's and chiefs knowing about it and / or condoning it. Whether they acted under orders or not I don't know - they certainly looked like they were having fun.. but it was obviously systematic and not an isolated incident on ann isolated day. The top down from the base should be made reveal the truth and those ultimately responsible shoudl be brought to task.

Unfortunately the inspector general's office can be pretty toothless at the best of times, therefore its very hard for enlisted men to bring problems and concerns to view in the normal day to day run of affairs, in a situation like this - who knows...
