Poor, poor baby's body found in Lincolnshire.

I just heard on the news about a 6 month old baby whose body has been found at a recycling plant.
My heart goes out and I am crying now. I have a DD only just over that age.

They are appealing for the parents to come forward.
So, so, so very sad.

I think you have ot be sick to throw a dead baby out with the rubbish.

I imagine that if she panicked, and I know I would, it would seem like an easy way out of the mess.

Poor poor girl. 2shoes - I am sure that if you'd just been through a concealed pregnancy, a probably traumatic unassisted birth and a still birth your decisions would have been made on an entirely clear basis - sadly it can't be said for most people. Chances are the girl was not "sick" but terrified, hurt and in short not in her right mind.

I hope the poor girl recovers physically and gets all the help she needs to get through this mentally and emotionally.

I won't speculate but it upsets me to think of what she went through. She'll surely never get over whatever led to this.

I doubt very much that it was her who threw the baby out.

She would not have been in any state to get to a commercial waste container. And she phoned the police in tears once it made headline news. So she is not callous.

She did not do it. Someone else did.

She must be deeply traumatised. Poor baby and young girl.

Fair point. Unhelpful wasn't my best choice of words, unsympathetic could be better, but probably isn't.

poor baby and poor girl. i agree with the hope that baby was already dead before he was dumped. i hope she feels able to tell the police who did this as clearly she didn't. just horrible for everyone involved.

a similar thing happened in my local town when i was aabout 13/14. some children found the body of a newborn baby girl in a plastic bag on the pathway near a duck pond. the mother was never found unfortunately but i imagine she must have been terrified to come forward.

i can have sympathy with the mother whilst being disgusted at how the body was disposed of you know.
