The 2 recent child abductions, I feel so utterly horrified by them and yet it isn't even the first item on the news...

...so are we inured to it? I am so utterly horrified by these 2 events, I've been thinking about them on and off all day and just feeling horror and sorrow. I know it's rare and yet it doesn't feel it atm. How do we live in a society with people like this in it? I don't suppose I want answers, these are unanswerable questions, but I did want to get this down somewhere and out of my head. I'm sure I'm not the only one feeling like this today.

Been thinking of that poor 3 yo girl all day today has made me totally sick that these f are allowed to walk on the same earth as children. They should be locked up for life with NO access to the internet, TV etc.

Just adding my two pence, so upset and angry at whats happened to that 3yr old girl. Like another poster, since having DS my liberal views regarding criminals have disappeared, especially pediophilles (sorry ). I once met a psychiatric nurse on holiday and she was also of the opinion that they cannot be rehabillitated. There must be something seriously wrong with them to even think those things let alone carry them out. But i believe in karma and god and know that they will be punished.
