A question I have asked many friends would you rather be the parent of the murdered or the murderer?

Murderer.

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow · 16/08/2011 22:08

Murderer

because at least then my child would be alive.

WidowWadman · 16/08/2011 22:14

Neither

TheMagnificentBathykolpian · 16/08/2011 22:15

god, what an awful thing to find myself contemplating!

I agree with NotSuch - the murderer.

As painful as it would be to know my child had killed someone, it would be a million times more painful for them to be dead.

Hassled · 16/08/2011 22:16

Too awful to contemplate. Sophie's Choice - can't do it.

2old2beamum · 16/08/2011 22:23

I cannot answer my own question, either would devastate me.

Christ almighty

thisisyesterday · 16/08/2011 22:26

the murderer.

lisad123 · 16/08/2011 22:28

neither, I cant say my childs life is anymore valuable than another persons!

Greythorne · 16/08/2011 22:29

Too disturbing to contemplate seriously.

The murderED would be a lifetime of sorrow and despair.

The murderER would mean a lifetime of regret and guilt.

Pan · 16/08/2011 22:37

neither.

edam · 16/08/2011 22:40

I'm with Pan, don't want to be the parent of either, thanks very much.

DurhamDurham · 16/08/2011 22:45

Horrible thing to contemplate. I would have to say the murderer.

Thanks I'll be off to sleep now to have sweet dreams about my teenagers marauding around the village killing people!

NorksAreMessy · 16/08/2011 22:51

Why are you even thinking about this? Really horrid sort of poll Shock

2old2beamum · 16/08/2011 22:54

Durham-SORRY it is something that has made me think about a mum who shopped her sons for murdering a man in a nearby town.
