Were these two some of the original suspects?

Yes they were part of the original 5

Then I am glad that justice has finally caught up with them.

Pagwatch · 18/05/2011 11:15

I really hope this new trial brings some justice for the Lawrence family.

It has been so long.

DontCallMePeanut · 18/05/2011 11:15

Only 18 years late, but hey... y'know... Better late then never, I suppose.

The sad thing is, nothing is going to bring back Stephen. But had this been brought to court a lot earlier, it could have provided some kind of closure for his parents. Thoughts are with Mr and Mrs Lawrence today.

MrsRhettButler · 18/05/2011 11:16

About bloody time! That's nearly 20 years!

BenHer · 18/05/2011 12:41

Lets hope justice prevails!

sharbie · 18/05/2011 12:42

At last...

My god that family have fought and fought and fought for justice.
Good on them.

boohoohoo · 18/05/2011 15:06

Thank god, about time, just so pleased for the friends and family if Stephen!

wubblybubbly · 18/05/2011 15:11

That is good news. I hope the Lawrence family finally get some justice.

LadyBeagleEyes · 18/05/2011 17:08

I hope this is it finally for his parents. They've behaved with such courage and dignity throughout.

Easy, now, people.

There will be twelve jurors.

Some may believe that retrial after acquittal is always wrong.

Some may suspect the new evidence.

And some may be racists with enough brains not to make it obvious.

Which means there could be a not-guilty verdict even if they are as guilty as sin (and they are presumed innocent, let?s not forget that). And you cannot have a second retrial come what may. So I hope the CPS know what they are doing here.

Nancy66 · 19/05/2011 20:25

Even the fact that the family will have their day in court is a victory
