This is a T-mobile ad that has gone viral, with royal look-alikes dancing to 'House of Love'. Some people really seem to have been fooled!

Couldn't agree more StewieGriffins, many of us Brits are as thick as mince.

But I was [bushock] when I went to get some trainers from a Foot Locker store in Milwaukee. Upon hearing my accent, the assistant got her colleague to come and listen to me speak. They were young, to be fair, but I nearly fell over when the colleague said "are you really from London, England?!!! So what language do you guys speak over there?".

LOL!

Some Americans are really stupid, I'll grant you! :) I just object to the notion that we all are. I can find lots of things on a map, I assure you! :)

And your accents are more of a novelty to us as we don't watch as much of your TV/movies as you do of ours, I think. So to you it's just "oh well, another American," and to us it's like, "Oooh! Ooooh! Say something else! Say something else!" :o I think it's a bit different now because of Harry Potter, the Supernanny, etc, but for a long time Americans genuinely didn't hear other accents.
