here

Lancet study has shown the rate of stillbirth in the UK is (imo) unjustifiably high. I know there are many ladies on here who have been touched by this painful event. Lets hope this research will be a catalyst for improvement.

I am so sorry to hear that so many of you have lost your children in these devastating circumstances. The numbers are just shocking, even if as woollyjo has pointed out sometimes you just can't stop the worst from happening.

I find it frightening that second pregnancies are often so lacking in monitoring... I am pregnant with my second myself and I am considering what private options there are to ensure that lack of monitoring wouldn't be a factor if everything tragically went wrong. Its hard to even get information as decisions that are based on cost seem to be very much sold as best evidence in the NHS.. I don't know what you should look for, or where to find information etc. It is very frustrating.

Re obesity - why is it offensive to point out that a risk factor is a risk factor? Or do you think obesity actually makes no difference and they just made that up to spite overweight women?
