Ah bless!

MadreInglese · 18/02/2011 13:11

I particularly like her quote: "the invitation could make up for a characterization on the BBC Top Gear program of Mexicans as 'lazy', 'feckless' and 'flatulent'." Grin

Well why shouldn't she go on hunger strike to get to the wedding, Kate Middleton appears to have!
She's looking more like a lollipop lady with every photo, and those black tights leave her knees looking like knots on pieces of cotton.

Avantia · 18/02/2011 13:37

Is Fergie on a hunger strike then ? Is this another weigh watchers gimmick for her ? Grin

psiloveyou · 18/02/2011 16:03

Awww she can have mine. I'm sure it will arrive soon Grin

Avantia · 19/02/2011 13:41

Lol and behold Fergie has not been invited to the wedding !

Ryoko · 21/02/2011 17:20

Let her starve one less fool in the world using up vital resources (and creating green house gases by farting them out after). Grin

I need to go on a hunger strike {fat sod emoticon} but if they gave me a royal wedding invite I'd boak

HecateQueenOfWitches · 21/02/2011 17:35

well yes, just the sort of well balanced, rational person the security services are going to want around their useless precious royal family Grin

KurriKurri · 21/02/2011 19:29

IMO The royal wedding would be much more entertaining if all the guests were Mexican hunger strikers.

Ryoko · 21/02/2011 23:10

Well they are inviting tonnes of over seas royalty so the whole thing is going to be full of crazy inbreds (sorry I forgot when you are that rich, insanity is called eccentricity).

hester · 21/02/2011 23:17

It's all a bit Darwin Awards, isn't it?

StealthPolarBear · 21/02/2011 23:24

How do they know? Come nighttime she could be stuffing herseld with pasties and then back to looking pathetic by 8am.

Plus can you imagine if she did go to the wedding? "Are you on the bride's side or the groom's?"
"Well actually I staged a hunger strike to garner public pressure and force them to invite me...SOO good to be here"

Morloth · 22/02/2011 02:00

I have never understood hunger strikes. Isn't it a bit of a self solving problem for whoever you are trying to control?

earwicga · 22/02/2011 02:55

How disgusting.

Irom Sharmila Chanu has been on a hunger strike for ten years to stop the army and police getting away with raping and murdering. She is demanding the end of the AFSPA.

That is bravery. And something worth dying for.

This Mexican woman is an appaling example of selfishness.

earwicga · 22/02/2011 02:57

Grin Avantia

Morloth · 22/02/2011 06:37

But why would generals responsible for a raping/murdering army give even the slightest of a fuck if someone starved themselves to death?

What difference does it make?

People who care already are not going to care any more and the people who don't care are still not going to.

LoveBeingAKnockedUp · 22/02/2011 06:40

WTF???

earwicga · 22/02/2011 15:45

It's not the generals though Morloth - it's all of them. The point it to get publicity to as many as possible and shame the Indian government.

LaydeeC · 22/02/2011 21:05

frankly, let her starve. what an absolutely pathetic 'cause' to starve yourself for.
I'd have a lot more respect if she came round here and protested about the cut in benefits for disabled people - a number of them'll be starving soon and not through choice
twunt

Morloth · 23/02/2011 01:49

I think if the Indian government doesn't care about rape and murder they are unlikely to be ashamed that someone is starving themselves.

Bloody stupid way to make a point IMO. But hey if someone wants to do it that is their business.

earwicga · 23/02/2011 02:53

Morloth - India does care about international attention - you know the international world who is investing in their economy.

Morloth · 23/02/2011 07:29

Still not seeing how one person starving themselves is going to draw anymore international attention then the raping and murdering.

If she wants to go on a hunger strike that's fine, but I think it is a pretty pointless and dumb activity. Either she breaks and eats and therefore looks like a quitter or she dies and the problem is solved for India.

Gotabookaboutit · 23/02/2011 10:06

And if she has survived for 10 years she must be eating something for goodness sake. I'm going to kill my self to protest but it could take a while

otisdriftwood · 23/02/2011 18:09

What a sad case
