Well for a start he is quite hard to understand.

But firstly he has nothing against Muslims but he thinks the Qur'an is an evil book!

Apprantly it is an evil book because it is from the 6th century and contains violence. Maybe we also need defending from those nasty Christians and Jews as well.

I saw a recent report on SKY: a counter demonstration has effectively closed Luton railway station (an attempt to prevent more EDL types arriving by train). Large number of police deployed already; many (?) shops opting to close.

How many of you have the brass neck or the balls to stand up to radical Islam?

The leader of the EDL is a young white working class man, who has the guts to speak out where others dare not.

He's not articulate, but he stands his ground.
When one of you is blown up by one of the radicalised young Muslim men of this country,
perhaps your family will think "we should have done more".

The EDL is not the solution to the radicalisation of young muslim men. It is more likely to be part of what prompts them to become radicalised in the first place.

Education, opportunities, tolerance, acceptance and understanding is what is needed. Not the further spread of hatred and blame. It doesn't take any guts to speak out as this man has done. It is his stupidity, hatred and attempt to find someone to blame for all the countries percieved problems that have led him down this path.

I wish people would remember how similar actions have ended up leading to so much blood shed in the past and learn from that.

The EDL and their type are always inadequate little knobbers who want an identifiable scapegoat to blame for their own failures. As it happens, their mindset and that of the inadequate little knobbers who take up radical violent Islam is pretty much identical. Losers who want someone to hate, basically.

Annie. I don't hate anyone, I'm pointing out that it takes a lot of bottle to stand up and be counted, particularly against Islam, some have gone before him, and found themselves, dead!

As others have said, it's about education, integration and tolerance. Not 'standing up'. What will confrontation resolve?

It's also not uncommon for inadequate little knobbers to join far-left groups, as well: depends who gets to them at the school gates first with a 'cause' to justify beating people up.

I would not like to be in position of the young man who represents the EDL. He himself says it's a role he does not want to be in.

Cameron today says, 'multiculturlism has failed' what's new? If you have mass immigration, and many of those migrants bring their culture and values to a 'democratic' and liberal country, what do you expect? I use the term democratic very loosely in regard to this country. Cameron points out why this country finances Islamic fundamentalist groups? It would not finance ''white' suprematist groups would it?

Exactly beebox. The leader was a crap Football hooligan himself and took on the name of the most prolific hooligan from luton and used his name for notoriety and attention and to rally the troops. It all was a cover for a drugs ring and money etc and the main instigator is pushing this front man from behind and never puts himself in the limelight . Its all got way out of hand. It is just another excuse for a hooligans day out . Happen to know the guy so do know the truth.
