Really? I wonder if that's the same at my pre-school nursery? I'd be interested to find out and might make some enquiries. Do you think it was right that you were overseen? I'm not sure of my view on it. I guess I just thought that one teacher/one child in the toilet. Maybe being naive? I don't know the first thing about safe guarding children in nurseries from abuse - what rules/guidelines there are. I just thought they do the checks on prospective employees and that they are regularly assessed during the course of their employment.
