Awful awful story I almost wish we had capital punishment again.

Terrible.
The utter lack of humanity some people display...How? How can you do something like that to a defenseless baby?
He got a minimum of 24 years- small consolation, but at least he won't be able to hurt anyone else for a while.

Agree about the capital punishment. I'm normally against it becuase of the risk of miscarriages of justice etc but in this particular case there is no denying he did it. Sick human being of no value to society.

The worst thing is he did it all to a child who couldn't answer back and when he had sole charge so that poor child's mother didn't know.

Yes I felt shivery and sick after reading it and posted it on mumsnet in horror after reading. I can't remember the last time I felt that upset from reading a news article

There are just no words to describe what a nasty, cruel bastard this creature is. It's one of the most upsetting stories I have ever heard.

This upset me so much. I can't understand how someone can enjoy causing a child to suffer and take pleasure in watching it like that, it just seems to go against human nature. I hope he will never be allowed out of prison, I'm sure the other prisoners will cause him pain like he did to that poor little boy

As this case is all over papers he will get a deserving welcome from his new cell mates, that's the only consolation.

Am not a fan of capital punishment ever but do think in this sort of case nil release and hard labour are perfectly acceptable.

Tbh I posted the same name as the news story on mumsnet and did it all in hurry as I was so shocked and upset. We could ask mumsnet to change the title?

very upsetting and makes you want to hug your own DCs.Hopefully the other cons in the prison will get him ,and heres hoping the warders look the other way.

Also why is this not on the front pages of all the newspapers?Brings back awful memories of that poor baby P.I'm so sad after reading this.How can anyone hurt a child?I will never understand.
