Take a look: the gist of it is that after the victim finally reported her husband's abuse to the police after he raped her, he was allowed to continue to manipulate her and their children while in prison and on bail. The victim dropped the charges, then was persuaded by her abuser's sister to claim that she made it all up. She ended up in jail herself for perverting the course of justice, despite police failure, time and time again, to put two and two together and work out that the perpetrator was controlling her.
