.... with their claws, ever so sightly, as they dragged the toddler out of a dam and saved his life.

[[http://www.couriermail.com.au/news/queensland/dogs-save-toddlers-life/story-e6freoof-1111115106703 Isn't it time we got rid of breed specific legislation and accepted that breed is irrelevant in the same way that race or colour is?]

"Valhalla - I think you are going off into la-la land when you try to compare racism against human beings to prejudice against dog breeds. ....AFAIK no-one is seizing Staffies and sentencing them to death."

edam, the one in la-la land is you I'm afraid.

Lennox, the dog mentioned in my post of 10.08am is a Staffie cross and has been seized and it is very likely that he will be sentenced to death.

You're right though, there is no comparison between racism and prejudice against dog breeds - the law of this land doesn't kill humans just for being black/Swedish/whatever.

Happy as always to be called an extremist. :o

valhalla, thanks very much for your advice, our pooch did get plenty of swimming in our local river as recommended by vet in lieu of long walks but it's a bit cold for that now. Not heard of that supplement though, will give that a try thanks so much x
