mumbybumby · 08/11/2010 09:36

Couldn't read past the headline. Horrifying.

LoveBeingAMummy · 08/11/2010 09:36

I am so glad I did not open that link, just put the cursor over it to see the name of the link. How sad, this might sound stupid but was it an accident?

Babysamrocks · 08/11/2010 09:38

There is mention of the mother having a crystal meth addiction, so I think its an accident in that she didn't do it deliberately, but has been charged with manslaughter and drugs charges, and her other children taken into care.

FairyArmadillo · 08/11/2010 10:39

Angry I really wish I hadn't read that. Poor, poor baby.

saffy85 · 08/11/2010 17:09

I was sat here sobbing at that. And yes OP you need to have a warning in your thread title/post. Sounds like the mum might have been under the influence of Crystal Meth at the time. Whatever punishment they give her she'll be punishing herself for the rest of her life I'm sure.

Rest in peace little baby.

CoinOperatedGirl · 08/11/2010 20:01

Speechless really, surely the title (horrifying and newborn is sufficient) well unless it's been changed. Poor baby.

5inthebed · 08/11/2010 20:09

I red that this morning. Horrific. Have been thinking about it all day.

PerpetuallyAnnoyedByHeadlice · 10/11/2010 13:25

what a sad sad story

lifeinagoldfishbowl · 10/11/2010 19:11

I did write horrifying story about a newborn which I thought was warning enough :(

Think druggies should be sterilised imho...these kind of stories keep coming out...those poor poor children

I saw a photo of the mother in the paper and she looks a total coke head

choufleur · 10/11/2010 19:29

Utterly horrific.

Why/how could someone do that? Sad

I thought it was going to be something tragic like a sibling trying to wash the baby, which would be awful enough.

PerpetuallyAnnoyedByHeadlice · 11/11/2010 12:09

OP - don't worry, i think your warning was fine - I did write a massive post yesterday in support of you over the calls for better warnings then I deleted it because I did not want the thread to deteriorate into a bun fight.

I have had the same accusation thrown at me when I have clearly said "warning: very upsetting story about children" or similar, leaving posters to decide whether or not to open a link - and people have complained because they foudn it a bit too upsetting. on the other hand, you give a tiny bit more detail about the story in your title or OP and other folks have a go at you for saying too much so that they could not avoid a topic they would rather not see!

you just can't please everyone, don't feel down about it!

ilovesprouts · 11/11/2010 22:12

omfg Sad poor baby
