Petition to try and stop endangered reptiles becoming watch straps etc

There is a petition going, organised by Rettet Den Regenwald, to try and end the barbaric trade in reptile skins. The methods used to skin these creatures is hideously cruel and the trade is decimating populations of reptiles throughout South East Asia. The skins are used by Hermes, Gucci, Cartier and many Swiss watch manufacturers. I've signed it, but to be honest, until the corruption is cleaned up in the far east, it may be a losing battle. I speak as someone who lived in Thailand.

I know, it's so depressing. But if the big fashion houses refuse to buy from illegal sources it would help.
