Are the emotional costs of having a disabled child greater than the financial costs?

Reading the other thread about children with disabilities and benefits paid to parent carers prompted me to start this thread.

With mine, definitely yes.
I don't claim any DLA or other benefits, but the emotional costs and the stress on a daily basis have been enormous for years.

And in answer to your question, for me the greatest worry is my child, rather than my financial situation.
