bronze · 01/10/2010 16:30

thats why I read to find out
yes it seems so
mother who took part got 10 days
its in the USA
they showed pics to a friend who reported it

ElenorRigby · 01/10/2010 16:30

The toddlers in care doesnt say about the baby

nameymcnamechange · 01/10/2010 16:30

Is this on the internet or in a newspaper? I can't believe these pictures are in the public domain?

deemented · 01/10/2010 16:32

In one photo they taped his sippy cup to the wall. Just above his reach.

Tormenting fucking cunts.

SleepingLion · 01/10/2010 16:33

I don't understand why the mother only got 10 days in jail and her partner received 36-60 months. I hate the way women get off lightly for this kind of vile crime. His sentence is pathetic; hers isn't really even a sentence, is it? Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to a longer term, FFS.

jaffacake2 · 01/10/2010 16:33

I have been working as an HV in tough inner city area for a long time and this does not surprise me. Have walked into horrible households where parents have either completely neglected their kids or been cruel to them. Have been witness to lots being removed to places of safety, usually by my initial referral.

What worries me is with over 500 families on my caseload, just mine, who am I going to miss?

nameymcnamechange · 01/10/2010 16:35

Is it in a newspaper or on the internet?

Just to clarify...the picture of the baby (last picture) is nothing to do with the story about the toddler. They're not siblings and the same scum aren't responsible

It's a separate image that's been doing the rounds on the internet.

nameymcnamechange · 01/10/2010 16:38

People are sharing the pictures on the internet?

That's kind of sick, isn't it?

ManiPedi · 01/10/2010 16:40

This has really really upset me - I have a little boy of a similar age and to think of anything like this happening to him is heartbreaking - but to actively do it yourself......

I'm so mad. That poor little soul. Tears are actually coming into my eyes and I'm not normally an emotional type Sad.

QueenofDreams · 01/10/2010 16:45

The things people will do to defenceless children really blow my mind.

I always wonder what the hell is wrong with someone when I hear of abuse cases like this. It seems ridiculous that the mum got all of ten days. Some fucking punishment for something so horrendous. I hope the poor boy is never made to live with these sadistic bastards again!

tokyonambu · 01/10/2010 16:45

The "mother", Jayla Hamm, is 17. The "man" is a charming piece of work: "In addition, an 18-year-old man, Corde Honea, was arrested at the home, after police found two handguns, holsters, and ammunition that had been reported stolen in a recent Beatrice burglary."

Note the white trash names.

seaturtle · 01/10/2010 16:56

Words fail me....

MaMoTTaT · 01/10/2010 17:03

thank god their friend reported them to the police when they saw the images. I hate to think what other unimaginable crulety they'd have subjected that poor little thing to Sad

tokyonambu · 01/10/2010 17:20

Worse things happen in Manchester, it would appear:

Hard to see why they didn't get life. And I suspect the serious case review on this one is going to make depressing reading.

LadyBiscuit · 01/10/2010 17:27

The baby taped to the wall is a joke picture that has been online for absolutely ages and the child is smiling.

This one is for real and is horrible :( For some reason the sippy cup photo upset me more than anything.

TwoIfBySea · 01/10/2010 23:15

Thank god for the friend who had the decency to report them.

And I hope she never gets her child back, that he can find a home with a loving family and not with this witch of a woman. Seriously, some people should just not be parents - ever.

cheesesarnie · 01/10/2010 23:31

horrible

LauraNorder · 01/10/2010 23:32

Sad I am lost for words

StealthPolarBear · 01/10/2010 23:34

thank you jaffacake

Exogenesis · 01/10/2010 23:42

I feel sick.

ppeatfruit · 02/10/2010 09:52

You know what really upsets me is the human rights people who say it's a RIGHT to have a child sorry not if you do this to them No NO No.

Nancy66 · 02/10/2010 10:51

Hopefully the boyfriend will be getting the living daylights kicked out of him in prison right now....

BuzzingNoise · 02/10/2010 10:54

that's the most disgusting thing I have seen in a long time. I hope the poor child gets put somewhere with people who love him, and I hope he grows up to forget those awful times.
