As if being homeless with kids was't bad enough

'The committee was reassured that the vast majority in bed and breakfasts were single adults....' 1 in 10 of the 700+ homeless applications were from people aged 16 and 17. Few of those will have children themselves.

It's no secret that a popular way to get bumped up the housing ladder is for parents to make a kid technically homeless. The conditions therefore sound appalling but essentially temporary.

Round here temporary housing can last anywhere between 18 months to 5 years so i dont think anyone would try and say they were homeless with a child as emergency housing is long term
