Sick and sad of reading about children being murdered by their parents

It's a reported weekly occurance now.

Is this what the human race has come to?

Get in debt and kill your family,get depressed and kill your family,have a special needs child and kill your family,have contact issues and kill your family etc

Utterly depressing.

Not sure what the answer is but

saddened by it all (pressed post to quick)

There have been a cluster of such cases and they are all tragic. However, they are still thankfully, very rare occurrences. I think that there has to be questions asked about the provision for mental health treatment in the country. Some of the people in recent cases have clearly slipped through the net and may have not acted as they did with better medical and other support. It's also part of the bigger picture being faced by Social Services.... do you leave children with a parent that has a history of depressive/suicidal/self-harm tendencies, or do you take them into care?
