www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/pages/RIP-RAOUL-MOAT-YOU-LEGEND-3/131022780267789?ref=ts

link to the page. I have reported as it contains hate language. some of the comments are vile and I restricted myself to the first page.

Talksport are running a campaign to get the page deleted. The more people who report, the quicker it will be removed.

I wouldn't bother with the festering cesspit that is the Moat facebook page. I do not like what these cretins say but I will defend their right to free speech.

The good think is that like a pile of dog poo it attracts the nasty flies which makes them more easily identified and traced.

I hope that even as we speak the police are smashing down their front doors.

Psychologists call this phenomonon 'Recreational Grief'... random people totally disconnected from an event but enabled by things like social networking sites to post a message to create a vicarious sense of involvement.

"once a thread/fb page becomes a place that starts to attract attention for the wrong reason it's pulled pretty swiftly"

I've not seen a thread get pulled, comments within it yes but now a whole threat.

And surly it can't be right that a thread/page can get taken down because of what comments people make on it? That would mean that a mob could force down any page that they didn't like, and that strikes me as deeply disturbing.

Don't get me wrong I'm very glad that this page has gone and that it's gone for the right reason, not Facebook taking it down but the creator making that decision.

isnt Raoul Moat yesterdays news now? chip paper and all that? well,he WOULD be if people didnt keep remarking on what other people choose to post about him

can you imagine it if facebook had been around when Princess Diana died!?

just leave it to die a natural death and keep your 'outrage' out of it....it will go away quicker then.
