My DD pooed on the leather sofa!

This was the kind of dilemma I couldn't have envisaged when we bought the leather sofa several years BC (before child).

DD pooed, it bypassed her nappy and went straight onto the sofa. (She, incidentally wasn't bothered about it, Dora was on, she carried on sitting in it....). The poo was very squishy and stinky

So I have washed, used disinfectant spray and fairy liq. The sofa is obviously now f*&ked but it still stinks! Haven't got any leather cleaner - is there anything else in my house I could use? Short of bleach!

Bicarb of soda - sprinkle on, leave overnight, vacuum off. For future reference, using kitchen towel, wipe off as much as possible before using a cloth soaked and wrung out and soap to remove the poo then bicarb it.

Thank you so much! I hope there will be no future reference as I now plan to gaffer tape her nappies to her bum but thanks!!

If it makes you feel any better - when DD was seven months old, I went for a bath, leaving DH looking after her, and came back to find her in her door bouncer, apparently having eaten and dropped chocolate all over the floor and mushed it into the carpet with her feet. Only it wasn't chocolate

£1500 that carpet cost. Now we have a rug covering it!

I'm lost for words!
