Can I bleach white jeans or will they go weird?

Spilt some tea on my white jeans earlier so was wondering if soaking in a mild bleach solution before washing will get rid of stain and restore to their bright whiteness? Or will they go a weird yellow colour?

Help please?

Thanks butterfly - will try really hot wash + oxy powder stuff and hang out later and will see how that goes... if not I will get the bleach out later on!

Napisan is supposed to be the dogs bollocks for whites too (or so I've heard?)

I've bleached my white jeans loads of times - seems to be fine. I just give them a good rinse then chuck them in the machine on a low-heat wash.
