Which Miele vacuum cleaner?

Right, have given up on our Dyson (at around the same time as it gave up on us, admittedly).

I have done a search on Mumsnet conducted exhaustive research and think I've decided to go for a Miele. But not sure which model is best for us.

We have laminate floors (and rubber on the stairs), no carpet anywhere, no pets.

Vaguely looking at the

S5211
S4212 Turbo
S4212 Compact Eco Line
S2110 Compact

The S2110 Compact is the cheapest -- any reason it won't do the job?

I've seen lots of recommendations on here for the Cat & Dog but if you don't have any pets it might be pointless!

I've just looked at ours and it says S571 on the front. I have no idea if that model is still available, we've had it for 6 years. It was the cheapest Miele one at John Lewis and it does a great job and is made of stern stuff - I've dropped it down whole flights of stairs several times and DH uses it to tidy up DIY mess. It looks pretty scruffy now but still works really well.

Thanks!

S2110 is the current "cheapest at John Lewis" so I'll take that as a vote in its favour...

I am sure mine is a TT5000 or something and was very good for its first year. Needs a service now

The S2110 looks good tho- did you look at on line reviews? They say the power cable is too short but otherwise its very good- thye suggest its best in smaller homes
