How do you get nail varnish off a PVC window/ door frame?

I have no idea how DD got it on the bloody frame in the first place, but would quite like to get it off...

if it's just basic white upvc then nail varnish remover should be fine.

a friend of mine swears by it for removing marks on her upvc.

maybe test on an inconspicuous area first?
