i hate the endless drudge.

i hate doing laundry. i hate putting it away.

today i cooked dinner, like always. and yet i'll still have to clean the kitchen before bed. because dh will tidy it but it wont be clean.

i am fed up of the whole lot.

same here - didnt cook though but equally as pissed off with it all

I actually used to love housework but since working 9 hours a day - it's a real effort to keep up my standards - they would rate about 25% compared to 10 years ago!

10yrs ago we had one dd and a spotless flat.

now we have 4 dd's. and a bigger house and agarden to upkeep.

just cant keep up with it. hate cleaning when dd's are about as like to play with them, or do stuff with them. but then by the evenings i dont have the energy to do the housework.

could you afford a cleaner for 4 hours a week, get her in to do a massive clean and then just tidy?

misdee · 27/06/2010 20:55

unfortunatly not.

it doesnt take long once i get into it, but just hate doing it,

I hear you .

I presume you just do the minimum?

I have two rules which, if I remember to keep them up, keeps our house reasonably tidy.

  1. I put some clean washing away every day (even if it is just a few pairs of undies).
  1. I devote half an hour to cleaning and tidying the kitchen every day. Aside from the dishwasher.

This stops things from descending into chaos. But I hate every single minute spent doing the domestics!

pretty much it bibbity.

sweep hall daily.
laundry every day. at least one load, often 2.
dishwasher once or twice a day. try to clear the sink each day.
wipes sides and table.
sweep kicteh floor.

tiday living room once kids are in bed.

girls are meant to make their beds, same as last person out of ourbed. but on dh days off, seems istill make it.

try to keep stairs clear. but never happens.

bathroom gets a quick clean every other day, and proper clean once a week.

i posted something quite similar a couple of weks ago, i sooo get what you mean. no matter how well you cook dinner tonight, you will still have to do it tomorrow, ditto cleaning, washing, tidying. it is so boring.
