how do i clean grubby greasy toddler prints off painted walls and painted lining paper on walls, without taking the paint off, or marking the walls?

Warm water and washing up liquid should do it,if not bicarb type toothpaste works well, but is slightly abrasive (that's why it works)so you need to go carefully.
Be careful not to get the paper too wet. HTH

I use sponge erasers often called magic sponges, the last ones were from poundland. They work fantastically well on pale coloured walls but leave white marks on deep colours.

thank you- will go for magic sponges
(or at least buy them and keep in cupboard for a month....)
