How to get vomit smell out of carpet!

DD has been ill and threw up on bedroom carpet. It is clean now (well as much as I can get it) but just can't get the smell away. Have used a carpet foam thing with a deoderiser but there is still a bit of a smell.

Is there something about bicarb of soda? I am sure there is but if anyone has tips of any kind (except new carpet - which is on agenda but not yet!) would be most grateful.

Yes bicarb. Chuck it on, rub it in and vacuum off after a while.

Thanks. Does the carpet have to be dry or damp for this? or doesn't it matter?

Make sure it's really dry first or the bicarb will stick.
I always use zoflora , but sick can be really stubborn I feel your pain.
