do you flush before squirting toilet cleaner around the bowl? sad i know, but whilst sat on the loo this morning i read the bottle of my harpic and it says that 7/10 people flush the loo before squirting around the rim which wastes a lot of water over the course of the year. never really thought of it before and i have to admit i do flush before squirting cleaner down the loo but don't really know why i8 do. anyone else do this?

I always flush for 2 reason:

  1. to get rid of any bits like tissue paper floating around
  1. To moisten the sides of the toilet because if it is dry then the gel/liquid cleaner doesn't spread around so well.

I'm so fed up with my high water bill I'm reluctant to flush at all unless there is something solid in there.

my mum actually used to squirt toilet duck around then flush straight away then give it another squirt and leave it. reminds me i left the cleaner in my loo a couple of hours ago now. best go and flush it off and hope it ain't stained blue...

... ashamed to say, my upstairs Loo, which only gets used for morning and night time wee only some times gets flushed once a day...

any way, no, I put stuff in, then scrub and leave then later on, when next use it, flush it and use it...
