My washing machine has flooded the kitchen (for the 4th time), silly me put the machine on and then went on the school run, come back and my kitchen is flooded . Because it has flooded before, under the lino is already a bit smelly so now my house stinks of wet mouldy lino. How can i dry it all out, i cant pull all the lino out because its tucked under the washing machine, oven and fridge (i cant move the machine by myself). Will i need new lino?

If I were you I would be contacting my insurers and putting in a claim for a new washing machine (4 times??) and new lino.

Sorry not to have any constructive advice

If you or any one you know have a vax you can suck the water up in that using the last bit of the washing carpets programme. (Make sure you don't do this using the hoovering programme or you'll see sparks!!!)

If the water has really soaked into the flooring, you will need to hire a dehumidifier the type where the water is not let back into the room. Somewhere like HSS would have them.

is it a wooden floor or a concrete floor?

your household insurance might pay for damage repair, but will not pay for a washing machine. It's up to you to have it maintained. If you tell them it has flooded 4 times they might ask why you didn't get it fixed after the first flood.

BTW, is the water coming out where the waste hose goes into the drainage pipe?

A dehumidifer is no good. It will dry the air in the room, but will not suck water from under the lino (vinyl)

It is a concrete floor, i think the seal is broken around the door (it looks a bit odd) also the washing machine smells hot.
