Fridge noises.

New fridge/freezer delivered today, what a racket,,,,, even when door closed there is a loud humming noise.When you open fridge door it stops is this normal?

Basically sees to be a fan noise on all the time.

sounds odd to me!

Is it balanced properly, i.e. on totally flat surface or do the legs need adjusting? We had this and lived with it for a while until my dad walked in and just sorted it out for us. Might be worth a try.

Our brand new Bosch one came with an amusing visual leaflet (designed for all readers, so no language), with pictures depicting what noises it'll make (and what exactly is making the noise). We have a purring kitten, a door buzzer and a couple of other things...!
It can be really quite noisy at times but works well.

Our Zanussi has a whole host of peculiar noises. It hums, squeaks, squeals, wails, moans, you name it. The DCs often stop mid-mouthful to ask 'What's that noise?'

My Whirlpool fridge freezer sounds like a chicken.

Maybe let it get down to temperatutre and see if that sorts it?
