In about a fortnight I will have a newly decorated and tidy house for the first time in 10 years. Help me keep it that way!

I know that sounds silly but this is a huge deal for me. We've been living under so much clutter and shite for years now, it had totally got on top of us and we were completely powerless to do anything about it.

House is currently being renovated and rredcorated and most of the crap has gone (still clothes and stuff which we're doing bit by bit).

So, assuming that I'll be left with a completely clean slate in two weeks' time, I need a timetable of jobs to do in order to keep it like that and not slip back to its former state. Any tips would be greatly appreciated

If not do one room a day and some other general housework.

Sorry am a bit crap at housework which is the reason I am on Slatterns .

I am so of you.

How big is the house and how many people? do the adults work? Fulltime? I will plug this all into my Housework-a-rator and give you the answer.

And also, how exciting!

PMSL tortoise

Tiny three 2.5 bed semi, two grown adults and a whirlwind 2yo. One full time worker, one 3 day per week worker, one Cbeebies watcher.

I am fixated on having a stair basket to collect what my MIL calls 'asylum seekers' and take them back up to their homes when going upstairs. Will this solve all my problems?
