Chemical Free washing powders?

I'm currently using Ecover Bio Tabs to do the washing. I use Persil for the whites. I want to avoid as much chemicals/perfumes as I can as strong perfume smells make me feel sick and dizzy. I avoid fabric softener like it's radioactive material as well!

Any suggestions for other products which are good to use in the washing machine? I don't mind using biological powders as they tend to shift stains better than non bios.

I was just coming here to recommend soap nuts. I've been using them for about a week now due to DS's eczema and they are great!

To be honest, they are not quite as good at removing stains as Persil or whatever but as long as I check the wash first and spot-treat any stains, the wash comes out clean. They are good at removing odours (even from DS's nappies...) but don't have any scent themselves. I've been adding a bit of lavender or lemon oil to the rinse cycle to freshen up a bit.

Thanks for your replies. I shall take a look at the soap nuts. I've used essential oils in my wash before and they're really nice.
