Toaster Hell

Once again another toaster has resigned. What do normal people do about browning bread?? I cannot believe I am in the market for my 4th toaster in 5 years! I really am not that high maintenance. A bagel, a crumpet, a power ranger here and there. But really, I just want some toast, everyday, that is all.

I have a really good toaster - a dualit 4 slicer. Bit pricey but does a great job! Also you can get it repaired if it breaks, although not sure what to do about melted power rangers ;)

thanks - I have been eyeing the dualits, but £200 seems crazy!

It is crazy but if it lasts for several years, then it's worth it!

Although saying that, I bought a cheapie one as a student and it lasted 6+ years (being used heavily by fellow students). I can't remember the brand though.

They don't make 'em like they used to! I also had a cheapo one as a student, and it lasted 5 years in a house where toast was staple food.
I also buy a new one every year, have resigned myself to it now.
