Marks on walls

Is there anything I can use to get rid of scuff marks on walls/crayon marks/random marks where DS has hit things on the walls!

I seem to remember some kind of magic sponge thing from years ago but looked in supermarket yesterday and couldn't find it...?

Other ideas most welcome!

Ooh, I'm interested in the answer to this too!

Well, I've never tried it but on the MN tips page someone has said that hairspray gets rid of marks on walls. It doesn't say whether you spray the hairspray on to a cloth or directly on to the wall and wipe it off. If you're going to try it, I would do somewhere inconspicuous first ! I'd love to know if it works.

Hmm... it would seem that whitening toothpaste works BUT I must have used too much in one spot as the paint has actually come off the wall! So use very very sparingly on a damp cloth and then rinse off with water.

magic erasers work wonders. You can get them in poundland and home bargains. They are great on marks on UPVC as well.

tumble dryer sheets

Babywipes remove anything.
Magic erasers are brilliant too but go easy as they take the paint/wallpaper off if you rub too hard.
