House smells

Any ideas on how to keep bad house smells at bay? I.e dogs, cooking smells, bins etc.

clean the carpets, empty bins daily, put a tub of bicarb in fridge and open windows

Bins - empty daily, clean weekly
Dogs - bath weekly, vacuum (floors and sofas etc, not the dogs!) frequently
Cooking smells - cook with the windows open and fan on, clean up straight away and try not to fry

Also, shampoo carpets/wash cushions and curtains/change beds frequently

Basically, keep things clean. You can't disguise smells.

If my bin's emptied regularly and my floors are clean and hoovered my house generally smells fine.
