Dh will be back home this afternoon after being away all week. I would like to do a lot of tidying up between now and then, though I have to be out of the house for about an hour this morning.

I need to:-
~ tidy up and clean the kitchen - papers and washing up to be done, floor to be cleaned etc
~ ditto living room - lots of stuff in there ready for a car boot sale we're going to do
~ ditto dining room - papers and stuff
~ sort out the spare bedroom ready for use tonight
~ give the bathroom a quick clean

If anyone would like to join me so that we can motivate each other, I'd be very grateful.

SimplySparkling · 23/05/2010 10:39

Ooops. Am sat here with toast and a banana as I'm going to be going out in about half an hour and won't be back for an hour and I had brekkie around 6.30. Back in a mo once I've finished eating!

Forgot to say, thanks for joining me maddylou.

So far I have:-
~ done a load of washing and pegged it out/put it on the airer
~ folded a load of washing and put it away
~ done the washing up
~ reported my faulty fan to the company I got it from and ordered 2 new ones
~ washed the pet bowls and the compost carry container

I think that's about it. I haven't been able to do anything noisy as ds and dd have been asleep. I am about to take ds to a music lesson and then go to the dump with grass clippings, 4 bags of recycling and lots of bottles/foil etc. Back around 12.30!

Hello to all.

Am back from music lesson run / recycling centre run and we've had lunch.

I'm going to do a list of stuff to do by two (no rhyming intended):-

~ put washing up away
~ fold ironing pile so it is smaller. Say sod it to as much as poss and put away in drawers.
~ try to hoover around if there is time.

Will report back around 2pm!

Right. I've mopped the kitchen floor and tidied up outside. I'm just having a glass of water and a 5 minute sit down!

How is everyone else doing? hails27 You've made a good start!

Oh the shame, barely done a thing with my 2 with chicken pox and grumpiness

Right off to try and do something whilst DS is napping...

maddylou · 23/05/2010 14:57

sorry got persuaded--didn`t take much to go out for lunch!!!

Have done food shoppingbedrooms need sorting hey ho!

Well done you lot--very impressed in this heat!

SimplySparkling · 23/05/2010 15:08

I would have accepted an invitation out to lunch in a flash, too, maddylou.

teaandcakeplease If you have 2 children with chicken pox then I'm not surprised you're finding it hard to get things done. I've got 2 revising for GCSEs. I'm having to work around them and it's not easy.

I've just checked and dh should be home in around 2 hours. Gulp.

Done:-
~ the stuff I said before plus
~ mopped the downstairs loo and the utility room floors. Just waiting for them to dry now.

SimplySparkling · 24/05/2010 11:06

Thank you maddylou and teaandcakeplease and hails27 for helping to motivate me yesterday. I couldn't post again yesterday afternoon as dd was hogging the pc and I'd just got out of the shower (I don't mind doing stuff in the day when it is really hot so long as I can shower late afternoon and get changed into fresh clothes) when dh arrived home so I didn't have a chance to get back on as I was busy looking at his holiday photos.

Thanks again!
