Flyladies - sink shining?

I'm slowly getting into the FlyLady routines, but I've never shined my sink. First time, did you use the bleach method on the FlyLady site? Strong chemicals make me nervous - but the idea of an actual shiny sink seems very wonderful (if unachievable).

How does everyone else keep their sink shiny?!

I'm a fly lady I have a clean sink but I have only shined mine once because as soon as I did it I needed to use it. So I ditched that bit of advice. I have replaced it with 2 others put thingsback in their place and make the beds. If the surfaces are clear of stuff & beds are made I feel I can invite anyone into my home. Others may disagree but pick something that would make your head feel tidy

I used the bleach- just a capfull or two but it makes SUCH a difference

I keep my sink shiny most of the time by using a dry microfibre cloth to wipe it round at the end of each day and by not having a washinh up bowl anymore. I keep it in cupboard under sink and its great!!

How does the shiny sink thing work with the old fashioned white sinks? (mind has gone blank as to the proper name of it)

ceramic sink. I think blech would work there.
My sink is steel at the moment,I can't write stainless
BUT I hope my next sink will be ceramic

My sink is ceramic and I clean the grease etc off with a non stick washing up scubber and washing up liquid, then fill to the brim with scalding hot water and add a dash of bleach. That is what the manufacturer recommends and it works a treat. I do that once a week.

To keep it shiny in between I use a microfibre cloth and a tiny bit of washing up liquid. If you dry it with another MF cloth it shines like billy-o.
