How to store 50 pairs of boots : )

Firstly , its not quite so many but could easily be. Secondly I'm not going to get rid of them

I have sort of figured out the shoe thing (probably have around 120) although not ideal and yes, am coming to terms with getting rid of them. Am a hoarder and collector. I've tried clear shoe boxes, build your own perspex unit thingies etc. But boots are so much harder.

I currently roll magazines and stuff them with newspaper in old socks as stuffing for boots. Seems to work and cost effective. This was all before kids but youngest now 6 months and I need to reconnect with shoes again (sad I know)...

Ideas?

Ok, don't get rid of them for now, but I would say take the 10 that you wear the least, and store them in loft/at friend's or similar. If you genuinely miss them after say 6 months-a year then have them back.

If that is painless then store a few other pairs in less accessible places.

wrt to the ones you actually want/need/wear, you perhaps need some sort of cupboard/space/box where they can be stored upright.

Also, don't buy any more. Once it is more under control have a strict one in one out policy (for shoes, clothes and anything else you collect)
