Dry-clean only - but can I just wash it..?!?!?

Got a nice cushion cover with a load of (week old - ergh!) yoghurt on it. Lable says dry-clean only - but can I wash it - what would happen if I did?!?!?!

I have dry clean only cushion covers and I put them on a normal wash and they are fine. They have a sort of velvety feel to them.

Really depends what they are made of,what is the fabric?

Mine are made of 68% viscose and 32% polyester.
