What's more important in a washing machine - capacity or program times?

Following on from my other thread, I have narrowed down my washing machine contenders!
The 7kg machines take 2 hours 40 to wash and the 8kg machines take 20 mins less. Which would you go for? I wouldn't use the full 8kg very often so that's probably a waste of money but the longer wash times on the 7kg are a nuisance...

20 min is not that much of a difference. does the larger one have a water saver/small load button? then I would go for the bigger one.

I think I'd go for the 8kg one. Presumably you can wash double if not king-size duvets in there?

Long washing times are a pain.

Good point about the small load button, Sonilaa! I will check that...

for me, its how fast it will spin

I wouldn't go for the 8kg one esp as you already think you won't use it. I just got new machine and initially thought i' get large drm. sales woman dissuaded me (always impressed by someone pointing out the merits of a cheaper rather than the most expensive prorduct) and am glad I took her advice..

There must be several shorter grogramme options other than the 2hr 40 min option?
