How do you keep on top of the housework/paperwork/washing/cooking etc etc when you have young children? Some days are better than others, I manage to tidy/hoover downstairs, clean the kitchen and cook dinner. But I never get upstairs, so it's always a wreck

Have 2 ds's 2 yrs old and 10 months, and they can destoy the house literally within seconds Please be kind to give me some tips

Only tip I can offer is not to show anyone upstairs!
When DS1 was at nursery I once got called in. The staff said that they were worried as he often asked to go to the toilet but didn't seem to go when he got there. When I asked son he said that when they said it was "tidy-up time" (they put special music on) he always asked to go to the toilet presumably so he wouldn't have to help!

He's 21 now.

There is an old trite but true adage that children never remember a tidy home
You will have years ahead of tidy, but empty bedrooms so make the most of times to play, r
read, cuddle and picnic with them now

But as they get older make sure to teach them how to help sort the washingand use the machine and to cook something simple and wash up.

sorry over use of smileys, it'll be hugs next!

Pippop - very funny about your ds1

Thanks iwastooearly - I forget that that's my MOST important job at the moment I put pressure on myself as my parents house is always immaculate and when they visit they always have expression!!!

Ok so I give in my house will be a state (at least upstairs) until Sept 2013
