food stains on clothes - help...

DS1 is always coming back from nursery with lots of food stains and despite washing everything at 60C they don't go away.
I tried washing at 95
C and it makes no difference...
I use Persil non-bio

I have the same problem with his cotton bibs, and also with poo stains.

Anyone can help? It would be nice to be able to actually re-use DS1 things for DS....

Ace bleach is quite good and you can use soda crystals to boost the effectiveness of your wash powder.

Wash as normal and hang out on the line, leave for a few days and the sunshine will bleach them out. (Honest - its that easy)

My DTs are 8.5 months so food stains are really common for us!

I use Vanish or Nappisan, both work well but do fade the brighter colours a bit.

Nappisan is esp good for poo stains as it's designed for washing cloth nappies.

Notapizzaeater is right - lots of DDs clothes come out of the machine with stains intact but then when I bring them in off the line the stains have magically disappeared. I was when I discovered this (but then I am easily impressed...)
